TALLAHASSEE, FL – September 21, 2016 – Attorney and lobbyist Joseph R. Salzverg, of GrayRobinson’s Tallahassee law firm office, joined The Florida Bar’s Standing Committee on Governmental and Public Policy Advocacy. The Committee was formed this year, and is directed at lawyers who represent clients before the Legislature, executive branch agencies, local governments, and quasi-judicial government forums. The goals of the Committee are to promote professionalism among lawyer lobbyists; to provide appropriate and applicable legal education on matters of interest to (and tailored especially for) lawyer-lobbyists; to provide mentoring and networking opportunities that are not available elsewhere; and to provide an opportunity for lawyer-lobbyists to stay abreast of and collectively be heard by Bar leadership on various Bar proposals (including proposed rules and ethics opinions) that may affect them.
