Biography

Joe focuses his practice on litigation matters related to land use, insurance coverage, and association law, as well as health care regulatory matters. He has experience representing clients in matters regarding the use, planning, zoning, and permitting of real property. He has significant experience defending property insurance companies in breach of contract and declaratory judgment actions involving issues of coverage, assignment of benefits, scope and pricing and alleged bad faith. Joe also has experience advising health care clients on state and federal regulatory and compliance issues.

Joe is able to navigate and counsel his clients through the rigors of litigation both inside and outside the courtroom to reach the most appropriate resolution quickly and efficiently.

Background

Joseph was born in New Haven, Connecticut, but was raised in Winter Haven, Florida. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. After spending some time working in the Orlando area, Joseph moved to Gainesville to attend law school at the University of Florida, where he graduated magna cum laude. While in law school, Joseph actively advocated for students' rights and held various leadership positions within the John Marshall Bar Association and other student organizations.
