Barbara Ferrer is a shareholder in GrayRobinson’s Miami office and a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Banking and Finance practice groups. Her practice focuses on the representation of institutional lenders and investors in connection with all aspects of real estate-secured and asset-based loans, including construction, term and low-income housing loans, factoring arrangements, public-private financing, asset-based lines of credit, mezzanine financing and loan participation and syndications. Barbara also advises institutional lenders on current issues in commercial loan documentation and lender liability matters.

In addition, Barbara regularly represents clients in the purchase, sale, financing and development of large-scale commercial real estate projects.

  • Representation of national lender in the structuring, documentation and closing of several loans for the construction of low-income (tax credit and Section 8) housing projects in Broward and Palm Beach County, Florida.
  • Representation of national lender in structuring and closing a multi-million dollar syndicated loan for the acquisition, development and construction of a mixed-used project (retail and multi-family housing) on land leased from the City of Miami.
  • Representation of national lender in the structuring and closing of a syndicated “gap” financing transaction for the 826/836 Expressway expansion.
  • Representation of international lender in a multi-million dollar syndicated loan for the construction of a mixed-use project (retail and multi-family housing) to be constructed at the site of the prior Channel 10 facility on Biscayne Blvd.
  • Representation of national bank in a multi-million dollar loan for the acquisition and re-development of Riviera Plaza in Coral Gables.
  • Representation of community bank in the structuring and closing of an acquisition, development and construction loan for the construction of multiple Marriott branded hotels in the City of Doral.
  • Representation of national lender in the structuring and closing of a participation for the construction of Met Square in downtown Miami.
