Labor and Employment E-lert -- Florida Minimum Wage to Rise

Effective January 1, 2012, the minimum wage in Florida will increase to $7.67 an hour, a 4.9% increase over 2011. For tipped workers the minimum wage will increase to $4.65 an hour. Florida's Constitution requires the minimum wage to be adjusted on an annual basis to keep pace with any increase in the cost of living.
