Richard Blau Quoted in Philadelphia Business Journal

TAMPA, FL – July 19, 2019 – Attorney Richard M. Blau, shareholder and chair of GrayRobinson’s alcohol beverage lawfood law and cannabis industry law practice groups, was quoted in the Philadelphia Business Journal article "The New Rules of Booze: Pennsylvania has Loosened its Grip on Beer and Wine Sales. Is Liquor Next?" The article reveals the sweeping changes in Pennsylvania craft makers’ businesses as a result of the alterations made to the state’s alcohol laws in 2016. The changes have allowed craft makers to expand and create new business models, and have given grocery stores, restaurants and bars, and distributors and consumers more access to alcohol, as for years the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) and its Fine Wine stores were the only option for state residents to purchase their favorite wine or liquor, the publication explains. Blau gives his input, stating, "A quarter of your communities still have dry laws from the 1930s. I don’t think you’ll see the PLCB disappear any time in the near future." Read the full article here.
