GrayRobinson Lobbyists Present at FNA Advocacy Days

TALLAHASSEE, FL – January 12, 2018 – Lobbyists Larry Cretul, Rheb Harbison and Jessica Love are presenting at the Florida Nurses Association (FNA) 2018 Advocacy Days on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in Tallahassee, Florida.

Cretul’s presentation, "Overview of the 2018 Florida Legislature" will the explain the fundamental composition and infrastructure of this particular Legislature. Cretul began his career in public service in 1994 when he was elected to the Marion County Commission, where he served for eight years, including two years as chair. In 2002, he was elected to the Florida House of Representatives and was selected by his peers in 2009 to serve as Speaker of the House from 2009 to 2010.

Love will give two presentations, "Understanding Florida’s Legislative Process and Committees" and "Working and Communicating with Legislators." The first presentation will give an overview of the Legislature’s process during Session. The second will  focus on best practices for working with members throughout Session and beyond. Love has over 14 years of experience in government relations matters involving the Florida Legislature, the Governor and Cabinet and state agencies.

Harbison will also give two presentations, "Major Issues Facing the 2018 Florida Legislature" and "Review of FNA’s 2018 Issues." The first will discuss issues expected to arise during Session, and the second an overview of legislation impacting the nursing industry. Harbison’s career comprises over 33 years of senior level public affairs experience. During this time he worked alongside three Chief Justices of the Florida Supreme Court, developing legislative and communications policy for the Court, and worked with former Florida Governor Bob Martinez.
