TAMPA, FL – January 1, 2020 - The Federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (“TTB”) recently announced that its Temporary Voluntary Disclosure period officially ended on December 31, 2019. This does not mean that the TTB’s general Voluntary Disclosure Program ends. The general program has been a long standing policy of the TTB since 2004, when it was announced in TTB Industry Circular 2004-5. The general Voluntary Disclosure Policy was created by TTB to encourage self-reporting and compliance, and can encompass any compliance violation (not just tardy reportable corporate changes).  Details regarding the general Voluntary Disclosure Program are accessible online at: https://www.ttb.gov/images/industry_circulars/archives/2004/04-05.html
